Rena has run her own independent law firm in Beit Shemesh since 1995. Her work focuses mainly on real estate, commercial contracts, company and nonprofit formation, inheritance law, Durable POAs and broader civil-commercial matters.
She specializes in and is a highly successful mediator and arbitrator in real estate and business disputes . Excellent at discerning the most important aspects of a deal for each side, she smooths the way from conflict to compromise. Rena is adept at dealing high stakes, high pressure situations and finding win win resolutions, leaving parties content not contentious and getting the deal done
Rena holds an LLB in Law from Bar-Ilan University and an MA in Management and Conflict Resolution. She is a certified mediator, has completed negotiation and mediation training, and graduated from a directors’ training program at the Technion.
Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate attorney in Tel Aviv and served on the board of the city’s water corporation, Mei Shemesh.
Public engagement and volunteer work have always been central to her work. For many years, Rena has been active in civic advocacy in Beit Shemesh, working on issues such as fair resource distribution, combating corruption, and opposing the exclusion of women from the public sphere. She has participated in and helped lead dialogue initiatives between diverse communities, including religious, Haredi, and secular groups, and has taken part in policy discussions with lawmakers and decision-makers to help bridge social gaps.Rena is a longtime public servant, attorney, and community leader based in Beit Shemesh.
She is married and a mother of five, and has lived in Israel since making aliyah from the United States as a child.
She is fluent in English and Hebrew.
A former Deputy Mayor of Beit Shemesh and long time City Council, she has overseen critical departments in the city such as the welfare department, the advancement of women’s status, young adult initiatives, municipal libraries, youth movements, and more.
She served as Deputy Mayor in charge of social services and welfare, women’s advancement, the municipal libraries, and as Chair of the Finance Committee. Earlier, she was a member of the Beit Shemesh Religious Council and is currently a City Council member.
